About the company

We’re an early-stage, Warsaw-based B2B SaaS startup building a developer productivity platform used by engineering teams to automate repetitive workflows. We’re a small, cross-functional team (engineering, product, ops) backed by seed investors and moving fast to product-market fit. As the founding designer you’ll own product and brand design from research through delivery and help build the design culture and systems for a high-growth company.

The role

As Founding Designer you will be the first full-time product design hire. You’ll be responsible for shaping the product experience end-to-end, establishing the design system and processes, and partnering tightly with engineering and product to ship polished, usable interfaces. This is a hands-on role with strategic responsibility and strong opportunity for equity and leadership as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product design across the entire user journey: discovery, UX, UI, prototyping and iteration.
• Run user research (interviews, usability testing, analytics-driven hypothesis validation) to inform product decisions.
• Create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes (Figma), and communicate design intent to engineers to ensure pixel-accurate implementation.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system (tokens, components, documentation) and Storybook-friendly UI components with engineering.
• Define and evangelize design processes: design reviews, handoff rituals, accessibility checks, and measurement of design outcomes.
• Own the visual brand and design language—work on brand identity, marketing assets and product marketing touchpoints as needed.
• Mentor and eventually hire/scale the design function; establish a strong design culture and best practices.

Required experience

• 5+ years product/design experience with a strong portfolio showing end-to-end product work (research, flows, visuals, prototypes).
• Deep experience with Figma (components, variants, prototyping), design systems and component-driven design.
• Hands-on experience collaborating with frontend engineers (React/TypeScript) and familiarity with Storybook, CSS-in-JS or design tokens.
• Strong product sense, quantitative and qualitative research skills, and an ability to balance speed with craft.
• Excellent communication skills and experience being the primary design voice in a product team.

Nice to have

• Experience at early-stage startups or founding teams.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, developer-focused products or internal tools.
• Background in brand design or motion design.
